What are Keywords: 

Your SEO keywords are the words and phrases used in your web content that makes it possible for people to find your website via search engines like google, Bing, Youtube, Yahoo, etc.

Example; Book Publishers in India, Best Psychiatrist in Dubai, Hostels, Content marketing agencies, Books, Bestseller, toys, etc

What is Broad Keywords: 

These are words are broad in nature and mostly considered as umbrella terms and shall wide varieties of topics under them. These types of keywords mostly have just one or two words.

Example: Books, Toys, Psychiatry, Foot ball, T-shirts, Content marketing,

These keywords are extremely difficult to rank for as big firms and most people within that niche is actively pursuing to get the top spot in the digital real estate for these keywords.

Brand Keywords Explained: 

These type of keywords has their brand name (company name) as a pre-fix / Suffix along with a broad keyword.

Example: Nike shoes, Oneplus phones, Books by Sharing Stories. Being Home Boys hostel, Mad over content Digital Marketing.

It is important that your brand ranks for these keywords which depicts your brand, many competitors normally try to target brand keywords in paid campaigns.

Longtail Keywords Definition: 

These types of keywords normally contain more than 2 words and are more specific in nature. This is laser-focused targeting and shows a specific buyer intent.

Example: Best Indian Gangster book ever, Best Literary Agents in India for nonfiction books, Best mental health Care in Dubai.

These types of keywords are comparatively easier to rank for your website and also can generate a lot of revenue for your business if you can generate leads from them.

What is a Transactional Keyword: 

The keywords that have an intent to buy/sell/promotional, any form of transactions.

Example: Buy Books, Free E-books, Sell Online course, Book Promotional packages.

These are the keywords and people with the maximum intention to make a purchase. You need to be able to run ads for these keywords and generate leads to grow your business

What are Navigational Keywords:

These are things that you search on search engines to take you someplace else. Like navigate to some other location

Example: Facebook, Youtube, Linkedin, Amazon, Myntra, etc.

What is Related Keywords:

These cover the keywords around a certain niche (broad keyword). These should cover all peripheral keywords of your business. Try and cover as many related topics in your blog as this helps build you as a subject matter expert within the niche.

Example: If we assume Book Publishing as a broad keyword, then the related keywords could be Traditional publishers, Publishing cost, Literary agents, time to publish, Evaluating the manuscript, Book editing, etc.

Examples of Educational Keywords: 

The keywords with an intent to answer/educate regarding any topic.

Example: How to find freelance content writers? What is the cost of content writing in India? Which is the Best Book Promotion Agency in India? How to make a pizza at home?

What is Focus Keywords: 

Now considering you have understood what are the types of keywords, You need to pick one keyword from the above list that you most want your article to rank for. It is important to note that the article should be extremely relevant to the focus keyword.

How to use Focus Keywords in an article?

Focus keywords or their variations should be covered in the first paragraph of your article, H1, H2, H3 tags. It should also be a part of the Meta Title, slug and description. Please not to use the variations and also related keywords in all the sections mentioned and Do Not repeat the same keywords.
